France: Employee Benefits Update

May 2016. Asinta Partner Gerep has provided us with an update on legislative and legal changes in employee benefits in France.

  • As of January 1st, 2016 all companies located in France are required to have implemented employee healthcare plans, regardless of company size.
  • Each of these healthcare plans are required by French law to provide legally mandated minimum and maximum benefit amounts of care to every employee.
  • In France, employers are required to pay at least 50% of the global amount of premiums.
