Bosnia and Herzegovina COVID-19 Employer Resources

The authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina have relied too much on a joint mechanism to procure the Covid-19 vaccine (COVAX), so they have not negotiated directly with pharmaceutical companies. The result of such action is that the state has received the first doses of the vaccine in the second half of February. In the first stage, the administration entity Republic of Srpska has procured the first doses (2000 pieces) of Russian vaccine Sputnik V (which has been used for the vaccination of the medical staff). Also, other administration entity – Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has received donation of AstraZeneca vaccine – Covishield India (10000 pieces), but this vaccine has no local licence/approval (it is expected that local Agency for Medicinal products and Medical devices will approve this vaccine after it will be approved/licenced by European Medicines Agency-EMA).
