Meet the Asinta Leadership Team
Jim has over 35 years of leadership experience in law, global employee benefits, and human resources consulting and insurance. His tenure as a senior executive at Mercer, Arthur Andersen, Sedgwick Noble Lowndes, and Arthur Gallagher significantly benefits the Partnership as we continue strengthening and growing our role in the global employee benefits and HR marketplace. Jim’s education includes a master’s degree in Tax Law from Boston University and a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut. He resides in the Boston metropolitan area and is a private pilot, avid skier, and runner who shares these passions with his family.
Marc Benoit
Executive Vice President, Cowan Insurance Ltd.
Marc is accountable for the TPA, Group Benefits, Disability Management, Pension, and Wealth businesses at Cowan. With over two decades of experience in the employee benefits and disability management industry and skill and expertise with large account strategies, Marc enables strong team synergies, collaboration, and focused strategic growth. Before joining Cowan in 2012, Marc was a Senior Account Executive with a prominent Canadian insurer, managing numerous national private and public accounts. He also spent several years in various disability management roles for national clients, including Rehabilitation Consultant and Organizational Health Consultant. Marc holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Laurentian University. He is bilingual in English and French and holds a Certificate in Global Benefits Management from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Bret Goodman
Managing Director and Executive Leader of the Global Practice Executive at Alliant Employee Benefits.
Bret and his business partner started their own employee benefits brokerage firm (Arlen Group) in 1995, which became part of Alliant in 2010. He has over 25 years of experience as an industry-leading employee benefits consultant and has assisted employers in a wide range of industries, including technology, life sciences, and professional services. He currently oversees a team of consultants who specialize in guiding medium and large employers through complex insurance, compliance, communication, and administration challenges.
Glenn Thomas
Director – Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing and Global Practice Leader.
Glenn’s background in developing employee benefits practices spans 25 years. He joined Howden in March 2018 as Managing Director, with the goal of building a client-focused employee benefits organization. His experience includes serving as CEO of Jelf Employee Benefits as well as being one of the founders of the Jelf Group. As CEO of Jelf, Glenn was responsible for leading the employee benefits and financial planning division of the company. Jelf was acquired by Marsh & McLennan in 2015. Following the acquisition, Glenn took on the responsibility of developing the employee benefits business for Marsh as a member of the Marsh UK & Ireland Executive Committee and the Leadership of Small and Medium Enterprises for Mercer Marsh Benefits in the UK. He moved to Mercer as a Partner in Global Business Solutions in 2017 before joining Howden.
