James entered the insurance industry in 1991 after graduating with a BA in Economics from the University of Texas.

He is proudly involved with professional organizations such as the National Association of Insurance and Benefits Professionals (NABIP), the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Services Professionals (NAIFA), and Vistage International.

Other private charitable organizations include The Rotary Club of Houston, the Houston Golf Association, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He is happily married, and the proud father of 3 children, ages 19, 17, and 14.
