Australia Introduces Legislation Offering 10 Days Leave for Domestic Violence

Part of Australia’s Fair Work Amendment Bill 2022 includes 10 days of leave for most employees who encounter family and domestic violence. The aim of this part of the legislation is to give employees the time and resources to remove themselves from a dangerous situation without risking their livelihood. If the bill passes, it will come into effect in February 2023. For small businesses, the law would go into effect beginning August 2023.

You can read more about the legislation in this article or on the Australian government’s website.
