France’s 2023 Social Security Ceiling Increased

France’s Social Security ceiling (PASS) was finally confirmed on December 16th, 2022 and its value increased by 6.9% on January 1, 2023. As for 2023, the annual ceiling will reach €43,992, and the monthly ceiling will reach €3,666 (compared to €3,428 in 2022). This increase follows three years of ceiling stability (2020, 2021, 2022).

As a reminder, the social security ceiling (PASS) defines the maximum amount of remuneration or earnings to be taken into account for the calculation of certain contributions, and social rights and is also used as a reference index for health insurance contributions.
