India: Group Health Insurance Policy Update

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India proposed that a ‘Group’ should have a minimum of 20 members to be eligible for Group Health Insurance Policy. The authority had consulted with an Expert Committee in December 2014, which had subsequently reported its findings in April 2015. These recommendations were taken under consideration while they revisited the existing health insurance policy framework.

The IRDAI also released proposals on premiums and renewal of policies. To know more, read the complete Economic Times article here.
