Pilar Acevedo Now Leads Correcol’s International Business Unit

Correcol is the largest independent insurance broker of Colombia with 70 years of experience in the market, always focused on giving excellent client service.  Since 1952, the company strived for solid international alliances which are key in our growth and worldwide recognition.

Another important factor to Correcol’s success is its focus on talent development. Marcela Riveros, the company’s International VP for the last years, has been promoted to Customer Service VP due to her excellent performance and results.  She now hands over the International Business Unit to Pilar Acevedo, who is a partner of Correcol and has the role of Strategy & Business Development VP.

Pilar is a bilingual psychologist specializing in insurance with an MBA from Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia. She began her career at Correcol in 2014, as the Human Resources Director, implementing important changes and developing a caring culture towards our talent. Pilar was then promoted to the Project Leader position, where she was accountable for the national expansion project and the segmentation of the B2C and B2B business. Afterward, she assumed the Innovation Vice Presidency, where her main duty was to strengthen Correcol´s portfolio. Within this role, she also assumed the national responsibility of the private tenders and the Affinity Business Unit.
