Fidex

Gabriel has +30 years of experience in the insurance industry involving risk management, employee benefits, and business development activities. He is the founding partner and commercial director at Fidex, where he leads business development, sales, operations, finance, information technology, and human development. Previous experiences include risk management in a large multinational organization and corporate sales at a well-known insurance company.

His educational background is in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tec de Monterrey, an MBA from EGADE Business School, as well as studying Top Business Management from the IPADE Business School.

Outside of work, Gabriel enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and dog, sports, outdoors, and learning to grill. He will take any opportunity to escape to the beach somewhere in Baja.

Capacity

Ryan Kim, Managing Director of Capacity, has worked in the Korean insurance market for 15 years with LINA, France Life, AIA Korea, as well as in the Australian insurance industry for 5 years for AIA Australia. He oversees all global brokers’ service networks by cooperating with global partners to develop employee benefits plans for their clients. He holds a master’s degree of Science in Insurance from the University of Hartford, CT, USA.

Associated Insurance Consultants

Walid is adept at managing rapid changes in the marketplace and maintains optimism no matter the challenge. He can work strategically and collaboratively across departments and geographies while successfully implementing initiatives that drive operational excellence. Walid’s strong analytical skills and attention to detail let him take conceptualized ideas and guide them through to completion. He is creative and possesses vital business insight and practical sensibilities of which solutions will work for his clients. The languages Walid speaks include English, Arabic, and French. He has an MBA from Neport University of California and an advanced degree in mathematics from the Lebanese University in Beirut.

 

Howden Indonesia

Violetha joined Howden on 15 August 2012 as Senior Vice President to lead the restructuring of Howden Indonesia’s employee benefits business platform. She revamped the Health and Benefits divisions in order to provide better service quality for clients.

Prior to joining Howden, Violetha was the Assistant Vice President at Marsh Indonesia, handling employee benefit clients. Violetha was responsible for business development which included participation in group employee benefits insurance brokering tenders, cross-selling initiatives, and creating insurance solutions tailor-made to meet client requirements.

Previously, she worked for JLT for 13 years, where for 7 years, she focused on the employee benefit sector. Violetha was the pioneer when JLT started up the employee benefits division back in 2004. She was responsible for business development and client servicing including Bank Permata and Bank Danamon in 2010. She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance brokerage industry.

Area of expertise includes Group Term Life, Group Medical, Group Personal Accident, Expatriate Cover, Group Credit Life, Pension Plans as well as Group Travel Coverage.

Violetha obtained her degree in law from Universitas Kristen Indonesia. She also has the insurance professional qualifications Ahli Pialang Asuransi dan Reasuransi Indonesia (APAI) and is a  Certified Indonesian Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Violetha also qualified at Level 7 for professional certification based on Indonesian regulations for Insurance brokers.

ASCOMA

Joseph is a business development executive with over 16 years of work experience in the insurance, assistance, and reinsurance industry, with a focus on medical and other employee benefits lines of business. Client-centric and solutions-oriented, Joseph is skilled at understanding his clients’ investments in human capital and balances that with the regulations in West Africa.

Prior to joining ASCOMA, Joseph held various management and sales roles for multiple territories in African markets for Saham Group and AXA Group, respectively.

He has a master’s degree in Insurance from Ecole Supérieure d’Assurance de Paris (ESA) and is the current President of the ESA Alumni for Africa. In addition, Joseph has been involved in service through Rotary International and is very interested in supporting the women of Africa through appropriate insurance.

Married and father of three boys, Joseph enjoys reading and traveling with his family to meet new people and discover new cultures. His motto is – Always cover what matters.

Tennant Group

Nick prides himself on his ability to think of unique and innovative employee benefits and financial solutions for clients in South Africa and across the region. Having worked in the industry from 2009 in South Africa, Africa, China, and Southeast Asia, he has a plethora of international experience and has been credited with placing business across all 54 African Countries. He is also a 2023 Forty Under 40 South Africa Finalist for contribution to the financial services space across the continent.

Nick currently resides in Johannesburg, South Africa, with his wife, two puppies that came all the way from Vietnam, and his newborn daughter, but has previously lived in Beijing, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.
He loves traveling, and photography, and is a massive motor racing fan.

He enjoys spending his free time on various engineering and technology pursuits, such as his current passion project, an autonomous long-range RC plane that he hopes could be deployed in mapping nature reserves. Nick’s pride and joy are his wife, his newborn daughter, and two dogs.

FARO

Carlos  is fluent in English and Spanish (a native speaker) and graduated from the Bradford Management Center in England 26 years ago. He has overseen the CONFIA insurance brokerage for 13 years, and for two years, he has directed the office of FARO Insurance brokers in the Dominican Republic. Carlos has specialized in employee benefits. Before joining our firm, Carlos was a private investment manager for financial institutions. In his spare time, Carlos enjoys swimming, running, hiking, and spending time at the beach. He also appreciates spending time with his wife and two dogs while his daughter continues her studies at Trinity University.

Carlos is an outgoing executive who loves his job, his clients, and the colleagues he works with. He likes to think about customer needs and works with them to develop new ideas for innovative plans and creative ways to educate and engage employees.

Be Safe

Agueda began her career as a television news reporter for El Salvador’s most prestigious news organization. She transitioned her career to insurance sales and specialized in life insurance. After extensive studies to learn all insurance lines, Agueda founded Be Safe Asesores SA de CV. Her company grew rapidly, and its reputation began attracting notable clients.

Trying new things and reaching her goals daily are hallmarks of Agueda’s personality. She started a foundation to help single mothers start their own businesses and provide scholarships for children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling, but her favorite times are spent with her children and husband.

She holds a degree in business administration from Preston University.

Howden Ireland

Jeff has worked in employee benefits for 25 years. He specializes in setting up benefit plans for multinational clients expanding into Ireland across a broad spectrum of industry sectors, including tech, asset management, pharma, and professional services in particular. Jeff takes a holistic and consultative approach with his clients and always listens first to better understand their business and the people issues that might be involved.

In a previous life, Jeff studied geology at St. Andrews University in Scotland and Trinity College Dublin. He hopes his knowledge of limestones will help him find the perfect ‘terroir’ for his retirement vineyard.

Howden Philippines

Philip has 31 years of life, medical insurance, and employee benefits experience. He joined Howden Insurance Brokers Philippines as Deputy CEO and Head of Employee Benefits in April 2023 and also assumed the role of Practice Leader for Howden Employee Benefits Asia. His experience extends to the life, non-life, and HMO industries. With extensive experience in group insurance, agency development, training, and sales development in both life and HMO markets, he’s worked with the top life and HMO companies in the Philippines, both local and multinational. Philip is the former Vice President for Sales for PhilCare, the HMO arm of the American International Group (AIG) and United Health Care (UHC). He founded iSolve Employee Benefits Consultants in 2006 and served as its President and Managing Director until the company’s acquisition by JLT in 2015.
